To practise and apply knowledge of /ee/ sound spelt 'ie' or 'ei', including test. In this lesson, we will recap the rules associated with the /ee/ sound spelt 'ie' or 'ei', look at words that are exceptions to the rules and learn a spelling practice strategy. The 10 spelling words set in the previous lesson will be revisited and tested.
MUST: Take 5 of these words and put them into exciting Year 6 level sentences about the scene that we will be writing tomorrow. Try and include different openers, subordinate clauses and extend your ideas using conjunctions (FANBOYS or ISAWAWABUB). Good luck :)
